 Chapter 5: Getting into Trouble at North's Workshop

All you could do was stare. All Jack could do was murderously glare down the guy wearing red, "Ok North, I said the first time very sarcastically that I like being bagged and tossed through a portal but the second time, especially with someone else in the bag. Well I don't know about you but the whole bag em' and throw em' is getting really old."

North shrugged, you could hear a thick Russian accent in his voice, "Give me break! It was mainly for (name) here. You got in the way."

They started bantering back and forth. The human hummingbird flew up to you and held out her hand. "Hi (name), I'm the Tooth Fairy, or you can call me Tooth. Now let's see how your teeth are doing." Before objecting to her request she opened you mouth and studied your teeth like a dentist.

"Tooth! (name) is a guest not a patient." North crossed his arms. You noticed he had tattoos on his arm. The left said 'Nice' and the right said 'Naughty'. He approached you and put his hands on your shoulders, "Welcome to North Pole (name). I am North, this is Toothfairy or Tooth as you've met, that is Bunnymund or Bunny, that is Sandman or Sandy and well I can see your quite acquainted with Jack Frost. You will be staying with us for a while."

You were confused, "I'll be staying awhile, but the Darecross' they need to know I left and what is wrong with my home?"

Bunnymund spoke up . "Did ya know mate that your house is surrounded by Nightmares?" His accent sounds like he lived in the land down under. "Oh and don't worry about the Darecross' they received a letter mate." He crossed his arms and leaned on the pillar next to him. He shook his head, "Manny must have chosen the wrong person. She is nothing like (father's name) the other guardian."

You grew incredibly angry and started to move forward. Jack looked at your death stare directed towards Bunnymund and held you back by your arms. Bunny noticed Jack was holding you back. Your voice shook with rage, "You know nothing about my Father how dare you say I am nothing like him!"Everyone went silent, you calmed a little, "What, now you're going to tell me that all of you didn't know that I am (father's name) daughter?"

The Guardians nodded in unison. Your expression went from rage to deer in the headlights. Jack let your arms go slowly just in case. Tooth fluttered in front of the group, "We didn't know that the mortal guardian was your father. We just thought that he was just friends with your mother. He never told us he was married to (mother's name)." She smiled apologetically.

You looked at the floor, the whole room had an aura of awkwardness. North broke it, "So who's hungry. It is only three weeks away from Christmas and I worked up an appetite for some of my wife's cooking." Everyone except you and Jack left.

Jack placed his hand on your shoulder. You turned into him and cried quietly, "my father was a guardian. Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't know your father was a guardian." He held you gently.

You shook your head, "No, I wasn't asking you I was asking a rhetorical question."

Jack smoothed your hair. You wanted to stay in his arms forever, but you were interrupted by a group of elves snickering at the romance going on. You and Jack both blush and walk to the kitchen. You look at Jack's face "Um have you ever met North's wife?"

He shook his head, "Nope I was too busy to hang around here to find out who Mrs. North is."

You were extremely nervous to meet Mrs. Claus or in this case Mrs, North. An image of an old kind lady popped into your head, but once you opened the kitchen door that image was replaced with the real deal. Mrs. North was a very burly looking woman. She seemed like she could take on an army of Nightmares and still go for another round. She approached the both of you; placing her hands on her hips and smiled. She had the same Russian accent North had, "So you are the guest that my husband was chattering about, my name is Inessa well that is what I like to be called. You look hungry how about something to eat?"
You nodded quickly. That was all you could do at this point. You were afraid if you said something weird she would clock you in the head, knocking you out cold.
She turned to Jack, "Well Frost, be a gentleman and take her to table. Ok."She slapped him on the back and knocked him to the ground. Your eyes widened, then you snickered. Jack got back up and led you to the table. He pulled the seat out for you allowing you to sit and gave a warm smile.

Once everyone was settled at the table Inessa set out a feast. You tried everything. Enjoying every bite, it was an extremely long time since you had cooking like this. Everyone was chattering around the table, and even you engaged.

After everyone was full North called some elves and told them to show you to the guest room. He also told Jack to go to the south pole and make the icebergs a little higher. You found that kind of odd like North doesn't want Jack following you like a puppy. The workshop was amazing but the odd thing was the yetis are the ones who make the toys not the elves.

Finally arriving to the room you looked at the extremely comfy queen-sized bed. Felling like a child again you ran to it and jumped on the bed. The bed was so soft that it felt like you would have a hard time getting up. The only thing that got you up was the fact it was 5:00 am you were to shaken up to sleep. The elves still stood at the door way.
You cleared your throat, "Um, thank you. You can leave now."

They realized and ran as fast as they could out the door. You closed it behind you, the room was huge it was almost the size of your house. Looking up at the ceiling there was a glass mural of all the guardians fighting off nightmares.  You backed up into a wall of boxes, turning to them they were marked with your name. "I guess I'm moving in then?" your voice echoed which made you feel alone.

You sighed the room still felt lonesome. Laying on the bed again you stared at the ceiling. A cool breeze brushed across your face. You turn to the source and see two blue eyes looking back at you. Jack smiled, "Miss me snowflake?"

You liked the nickname he gave you. "Yes I did." Sitting up on the edge of the bed you invited Jack to sit next to you. He obliged and sat down, "So Jack do the Penguins adore you now?"

He laughed, "Yes they even had a party in my honor."You punched his arm playfully. He rubbed it, "Ow! You have quite a punch for a girl."

You half smiled, "Oh just because I'm girl makes me weak huh?"

He was about to respond, but you pinned him to the bed. Jack had a surprised look on his face, then he turned and pinned you. "Ok you proved me wrong (name)." He closed the gap between the both of you and softly kissed you. His kiss tasted like winter mint. You were startled when his wintery tongue runs across your lips. Your head started to spin as he traced his hands on your jawbone and down your neck. It felt like a line of frost was left on your skin. Jack pulled away from the kiss and rested his forehead on yours. Both of you were catching your breath. You could feel his rapid heartbeat against your chest. Jack kissed you again this time it was more urgent. His icy tongue slipped into your mouth causing you to tense up for a moment then you relaxed. You tangled his messy hair in your fingers as he moved from your mouth to your neck. You gasped when he softly kissed the side of your neck, then he snickered and moved his face back so you could see him.

You smiled at him, "What's so funny?"

"(name) you may not be weak like some girls but you sure get surprised easily like one."

He moved some strands of (hair color) hair away from your face.
You pushed him off and got up off the bed, "So apparently I'm staying for a while, is there anything to do here?"

He smirked mischievously, "Well I know you can snowboard. Can you skate?"

"Anything that has to do with winter activities like skating then yes I can. I also do a little archery here and there. Why do you ask?"

Jack held up a pair of skates, "Put these on and you'll find out."

Jack was creating a trail of ice down the hallways of North's toy shop with you skating behind. Both of you were laughing as you see some yetis and elves jump out of surprise when you pass by. Even one yeti carrying a cream pie jumped making the pie splat all over its face. You spotted Bunny just casually walking down the hall. Jack turned his face to you, "Want to have some fun?"

You knew what he was thinking of, "Bring it on!" Jack passed by Bunnymund close enough that it caused him to do a 360° spin. When you passed him he did another spin and fell on his back.

Waving his fist angrily in the air he yelled, "Frost I swear you and your accomplice will pay for that." He tried to get up again but slipped and fell back on the ground. Both of you laugh and disappear around the corner.

North was coming out of the Naughty and Nice list room when you and Jack zoom by causing his papers to fly everywhere. He tried to grab the lists, "Jack and (name)! You are both on Naughty list!"

Jack turned around with you right behind him, "What else is new North?" Zooming by again the papers spread even more. Jack turned the corner you followed suit and was caught by two yetis. The four yetis that had you and Jack went up to North and set you both down.

North crossed his arms, "You two will be punished severely. First off you will scrape all the ice off the floor then you both will be doing dishes until the 22 and in between the dishes time you will be organizing the nice list from a to z."

You sagged as the yeti handed you the ice chipper it looked like a small wedge so the scraping had to be done with you on your knees. Jack and you were only a quarter done but you had fun chipping away. You turn and look at Jack, both of you had the same grin on your faces, "That was totally worth it.

He laughed, "Yes it was."
