Chapter 6
Celebrating Christmas... Guardian style!
It was day 15 in punishment duty. You and Jack had 8 days left. The punishment was extensive but Jack and you still laugh every time Bunnymund rubs his back or North passes by with a stack of papers. The list sorting was boring you so much that you felt like you could practically sleep and still sort the list correctly. Dishes were fine because when you were in foster care every single parent would always make you do the dishes. Jack could only dry the dishes because every time he touched the water it would freeze. You start to recollect the days spent with Jack. You and he started holding hands around the workshop even in front of curious eyes, sneak out at night and go ice skating or snowboarding, and spend time together in your new room.
Tonight Jack had to go take care of the weather so you were left to do the dishes by yourself. You noticed a cd player built into the wall by the refridgerator. You rushed to your room grabbed a cd and went back to the kitchen, plugging in the disc. One of your songs (favorite song) blasted out of the speakers, just the way you liked it. You danced while you worked. The song distracted you so much that you didn't notice Jack leaning against the entrance of the door. He smiled and quietly snuck up behind you.
After putting a dish that was in your hand away you spinned around right into Jack's arms.
You blushed in embarrassment. "hehehe... sorry Jack."
He kissed you for a moment, "Don't worry about it. I like to see you happy snowflake." You always wanted to melt every time he called you snowflake. Jack nodded towards the dishes, "Well I'm here now so let's finish those dishes."
You went up to the filled sink and finished the rest of the dishes. Next task was to file more papers, but before you removed the plug from the rinse sink Jack touched the surface of the water freezing your hand in place, "Oops, did I do that?"
You give him an are-you-serious look, "Now how am I going to get to the paperwork?"
He smirked and shrugged, "I guess you're going to be stuck for a while so we might as well wait for that ice to melt." You shake your head. He kisses you again softly like falling snow on a still night. He caressed your face as his kissed evolved from a light kiss to a more intense kiss. Your heartbeat starts to quicken as his hands move down to your hips. You gasped when his cold hand slipped under your shirt touching your skin above your hips. Jack pulled his face away and smiled at you. "You're not ticklish are you?" You eyes widened. Jack started to tickle you where his hands were placed. You always seemed to be the most ticklish where your hips are. You blush from laughing and the fact that you were giggling so loud that the whole entire workshop would most likely hear you. Jack stopped and backed away.
"Sorry (name). I couldn't resist from doing that. Oh and by the way you can take your hand out of the water."
You dried your hand then kissed Jack on the cheek before you punched him in the arm, "Now we have some duties to attend to."
Jack slipped his hand into yours. "then let's go."

The paperwork felt like a never ending stream of stamping and filing. North came in and stopped you for a second, "I know this maybe early but I want to show you your Christmas gift. Jack you stay and keep working." Jack frowned and continued his work. You followed North to the reindeer pasture it was a huge ice dome with pine trees bunched here and there and frosty grass on the ground. You gasped at the herds of reindeer that were flying and running around. North pointed to a lone reindeer that was pawing at the ground. "That is Lieutenant he doesn't mingle with the rest and he doesn't seem approachable so I thought maybe you could befriend him." Lieutenant looked up at you and North. He stomped his hoof on the ground showing his dominance and lowered his head showing a nice sharp set of antlers. North laughed, "It may take time or it may take second, but when it comes to humans he is a teddy bear. Well, Merry Christmas (name)." After that remark North left you... alone... facing an angry looking reindeer.
Approaching cautiously you, held out your hand and stared away from his eyes. Lieutenant was surprised at your willingness to approach him. You looked into his eyes he seemed to have some love behind those wild eyes. He bowed his head to the height of your hand approaching you carefully. You allowed him to come to you, Lieutenant approved of you to touch his head. You scratched in between the antlers which caused Lieutenant to relax more and get closer. He had an odd pelt color it was white tan he had two charcoal grey colored v's on the front of his powerful chest. You continued to pet him, "There see I mean no harm to you. I just want to be friends." Lieutenant pushed against your hand gently allowing you to stroke his neck. You patted him. "Ok I have to go but I will visit you often."
Lieutenant nodded his head in understanding. You left to go back to your required organization chores. As you enter the door you noticed Jack was gone and North was looking at the lists with his back to you. A travel bag was beside him. You purse your lips, "Um, North where is Jack?"
He turned and faced you, "I sent him to get Christmas decorations. You have both been reassigned to decorate entire workshop." Your mouth drops, sure decorating is better than filing lists but the Entire Workshop that would take a whole week to do, and not including decorating the tree. North chuckled as you snapped your gapping mouth shut. "Yes I know it would take a long time for you to finish but it must be done. Let's just say leaving elves and yetis to decorate is disaster, and before I deliver presents my wife and I go on anniversary trip to our home town for the week. So I can't decorate."
You raise you eyebrows, "Oh! Happy anniversary North... So I'm going to be alone at the Workshop?"
"Not completely, Jack will be with you and the elves and yetis but they will be out of your way. So you will have to feed the remaining reindeer that I don't take. As well as keep shop in check I don't want to come back and find you two destroying my organization or the elves fooling around with anything ok?" He gave you a serious look, you nodded. He turned you towards the door, "now Jack must have brought up all the decorations to the meeting room so it is your job to plan out how workshop is going to look."
You left towards the meeting room where Jack was supposed to be waiting for you. Looking around you saw no sign of Jack. You sighed and moved towards an opened box that was full of Styrofoam peanuts. The odd thing was nothing was inside. Jack came up behind you and lightly ran a finger down your spine. You jump, turn around and land in the box. Jack laughed at your reaction, "my, my you are such a skittish little snowflake (name)."
You laugh and get out of the box, "Only you make me jump Jack..." You brush off some Styrofoam peanuts that stuck to your clothes, "So ready for a filled week of decorating?"
Jack kissed you on top of your forehead, "With you. Of course I'm ready."

I heard tapping on my window. I looked over and smiled when I saw brown eyes staring back at me. I opened the window and said, "Jack, you know you aren't supposed to climb to my window. You could just use the front door."
He chuckled, "but climbing into your window is half the fun." I moved over and he climbed into my room. "You know, it's almost winter." He said with a huge grin.
I laughed, "I know Jack... you just can't wait can you?"
"Nope." He replied, keeping the grin on his face. "Let's go outside."
"But-" I started.
"No buts, your coming outside with me." He said and I laughed as he dragged me downstairs.

You opened your eyes, gasping for breath. Where were you? Oh, that’s right... You thought, looking around. Your eyes landed on Jack who was looking at you with concern in his bright blue eyes.
“You okay?” He asked.
“Yeah... I’m alright.” You said, taking a deep breath to calm yourself down. “How long was I out?”
The winter spirit’s eyes narrowed in confusion, “What are you talking about? You dozed off for a few seconds.”
You rubbed your eyes, “It felt like a few minutes. I had the weirdest dream.”
“Again?” Jack leaned forward, surprise written on hi

A ray of light streamed through your window, hitting you square in the eyes. You raised a hand sleepily to shield them, and opened your eyes slightly, squinting against the glare. Letting out a wide yawn, you rubbed your eyes sleepily.
You rolled over and let out a surprised yell, scrambling backwards across your bed. Right next you was Jack, asleep, facing you and in your bed . You clapped your hands over your mouth to prevent yourself from yelling further.
You stared at him for a minute with wide eyes, hardly daring to breathe. After a while, you relaxed, but not five seconds later, the winter spirit stirred, opening his eyes.
